The Folkestone Air Raid

This bombing raid saw the death of almost 100 people - including many children. 

Names (T)

Edith Gwendoline (Gwennie) Terry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Edith Gwendoline (Gwennie) Terry - age 13 daughter of Mr Terry a railway official at Folkestone Central Station.  Gwennie was with her friends Dorothy and Madge who were also killed. No headstone but its sides are inscribed, buried in section 20, grave 1858   These brief descriptions were taken from ‘A Glint In The Sky’, author Martin Easdown with Thomas Genth. The book which is well worth ordering contains much more detail about each person.
