The Folkestone Air Raid

This bombing raid saw the death of almost 100 people - including many children.

Edith May Eales ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Edith May Eales - age 17, Edith was employed as a book keeper in Stokes’s shop and her father was a marine porter. There was a headstone, but it is no longer in place, buried in section 20, grave 1863   These brief descriptions were taken from ‘A Glint In The Sky’, author Martin Easdown with Thomas Genth. The book which is well worth ordering contains much more detail about each person.
