The Folkestone Air Raid

This bombing raid saw the death of almost 100 people - including many children.

Albert Edward Castle, William (Willie) Clark, Phyllis Aimes Cooper ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Albert Edward Castle - age 41, a retired Naval man who worked as a gardener at the Grange School. No gravestone, buried in section 20, grave 1866 William (Willie) Clark - age 12, “a cheeky and cheerful chap Willie was the life and soul of his family and a keen boy scout”. Gravestone in place although the lettering is now faded, buried in section 20, grave 1873 Phyllis Aimes Cooper - age 9, daughter of W W Cooper as Butchers assistant.  Gravestone not found, buried in section 13, grave 2765
